Spicy Beef Nachos
Method
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the cooked beef. Cook until the onion is soft and translucent.
  4. Stir in the taco seasoning mix and follow the package instructions. Typically, you'll need to add water and simmer until the mixture thickens.
  5. On a large oven-safe platter or baking sheet, spread out the tortilla chips in an even layer.
  6. Heat the tortilla chips first on their own for 5 mins then layer with cheese and let melt. This layer helps prevent soggy chips!
  7. Spoon the seasoned mince over the chips.
  8. Sprinkle a top layer of the 2 cheeses.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Remove from the oven and add your favourite toppings, such as salsa, sour cream, sliced jalapeños, black olives, and green onions.
  11. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious beef nachos!
